Update: Our brave little trooper, Tripp, has successfully undergone amputation surgery and is on the road to recovery! The rescue team shared the wonderful news: “We did it!! Tripp goes in this Thursday to have his staples removed. His future looks bright!” Thank you for your incredible support!
Tripp was rescued from a dire situation by a compassionate neighbor. This sweet kitten was battling a severe upper respiratory infection and a devastating leg injury. X-rays revealed that his leg bones, including the growth plate, were shattered beyond repair due to persistent blunt force trauma. As a result, he requires surgery to amputate the affected leg.
While Tripp gains the necessary weight for surgery, his wound is being treated with utmost care. Doctors are diligently working to remove fragments of cartilage and bone, providing him with local anesthetic for relief. Your donations will play a crucial role in helping him heal and begin his long-term recovery.
Tripp’s location is South Carolina, and he is a 9-week-old Domestic Shorthair. His medical challenges include a broken leg and infection, necessitating amputation and supportive care.
You can make a significant impact on Tripp’s life by supporting his treatment. Your generous contributions will not only give him hope but will also cover his ongoing care. Help us reach our goal of $6,000 to assist Tripp and other pets in need.
Greater Good Charities will manage the funds to ensure they are used effectively for their intended purposes.
