As we approach the hottest season of the year, over 30,000 veterans find themselves facing homelessness. Although the number of unhoused veterans has decreased significantly since 2010, many still require our support. In 2024, around 32,882 veterans are projected to experience homelessness. With potential funding cuts at the Department of Veterans Affairs, vital assistance for these individuals may be jeopardized.
Our partner, Greater Good Charities, is dedicated to providing food and essential items to veterans living in high-poverty areas. By collaborating with the VA, we ensure that local veterans have access to necessary supplies and nutritious meals. Each Good Pack includes:
- A durable pack to carry essential supplies and personal belongings.
- Toiletries such as shampoo, soap, and toothbrushes.
- A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Clothing including a T-shirt, socks, and other clean garments.
- A warm blanket for comfort.
For veterans with beloved pets, these animals provide vital emotional support. However, caring for a pet can add stress to an already challenging situation. Each Pet Pack contains:
- A functional pack to carry pet supplies.
- A collapsible bowl for easy feeding and drinking.
- A slip lead leash to keep the pet secure.
- A pet toy for entertainment.
- Pet food and treats to nourish the companion.
By donating just $25, you can provide both a Good Pack and a Pet Pack, making a significant impact in the lives of veterans and their pets. They fought for our freedoms; now it’s our turn to support them. Together with Greater Good Charities, we aim to ensure that no veteran is left behind.
